We have a number of volunteer and job opportunities available:
Food and clothes bank volunteers. We run a small clothing and food back supporting families and we need support in running this service. Driver would help for deliveries to local families. Not essential.
Doula support worker – These workers will be volunteers (with the potential for paid positions in the future) that commit to so many hours support women and families in group and one to one settings. You will support women and families alongside Doulas. You will work within our Ethical Code and policies. Training provided with our CACHE accredited training. Our Doula training is heavily discounted and in some instances can be funded.
Volunteer peer support – We are looking for volunteers to support our groups throughout East Lancashire and the UK. Applicants must have a passion for family support.Experience desirable although not essential. DBS checks will be undertaken.
Self employed therapists – to work within our new pregnancy and parenting hub. Various opportunities. Physiotherapist, Osteopath
Volunteer Student Counsellor – Student Counsellor placements for those on at least Level 4 course with Fitness to Practice and BACP membership.Various hours available.DBS check undertaken.
Volunteer nanny worker – We are looking for volunteers to provide care for children whilst the mother is birthing in the hospital. You will work with a Doula to provide holistic support to parents. Ideally having a childcare qualification or willing to train in Core Skills. Hours will be as and when needed. Potential for paid positions in the future.
