Whether you’re looking for a doula in your area or a specialist counsellor, you shall find someone here. Do contact us if you can’t find anyone on the list, we are able to offer remote support and it may be we simply haven’t listed someone yet.
I found Snowdrop way back in 2011. I was a young, single mum and recognised a real need for more to be done to support women in pregnancy and beyond. You’ll find me doing bits of everything. Away from writing funding bids and attending meetings, I am a counsellor/ psychotherapist and spend most my week supporting women in that capacity. You’ll also find me running some antenatal and postnatal classes, our training, and answering phone calls
Although things have changed a bit since I first became a mum, the same issues still exists and I remain passionate to bring the changes needed. I always have ideas of what Snowdrop could do and my ideas often have to be reigned back in.
Because I am not busy enough I am completing a doctorate in psychotherapy which is around motherhood.
In my life away from Snowdrop, I have 3 children between the ages of 20 and 12, a husband and 2 cats. We are recently back to being a home educating family.
Ps, the glasses…migraines… I try styling it out now.
Jen is one of our original Doulas we found when we received our large lottery grant back in 2017. We knew she’d fit right in when in interview we carried on talking way past allocated time as if we already knew each other. She now does a bit of everything. You’ll find her in our Accrington shop and café.
With a background in nursing, Jen is a mother of 5, and her husband, Nick, can sometimes be found helping out too.
She is one of the most friendliest people you’ll meet, with a beautiful soul.
