This is a short Level 3 award in Trauma awareness in the perinatal period.
Trauma in the perinatal period can be in many forms and the impact upon women, families, and professionals can be significant.
Our accredited, customised course in trauma awareness will help you to understand the impact of trauma, how to reduce the risks and look at how best to support those suffering.

Once you have enrolled you will gain access to all online materials and information as to how to complete. Each of our Level 3 courses have assignments to complete. This course is a short one and has a handful of short questions to complete.
There are 2 live evening Zoom sessions for this course to help embed self learning. You will have 2 months to complete this course.

Level 3 Award in Antenatal teacher training


Have you ever wanted to teach your own antenatal classes?
This course will provide you with all the tools in which to do so. Our accredited customised course in antenatal class teacher training will give you what you need.
You will learn how to facilitate our award winning model of antenatal classes and how to make it your own business. Becoming part of our franchise.
You will also be able to become part of our network of birthworkers for additional support and mentoring.

This course is completed via online resources and live Zoom sessions and discussions. Once booked you will receive access to the online materials. Here you’ll find a handbook with assessment information. Assessments for this course are a mix of practical and written. We aim to make things as inclusive as possible and written assessments are no more than 500 words. We can offer some support with this for those who need.

As we aim to be accessible for all there are various options towards costs of course. We offer some scholarships for full and partial course fees plus affordable payment plans. Contact us if you have any questions.

Domestic abuse in pregnancy and postnatal.

A short CPD course, can be accessed as a one off or as part of our Birthworkers network.
Statistics tell us that an estimated 30% of domestic abuse cases begin in pregnancy and that 1 in 4 women are abused. In this short CPD course you will learn what domestic abuse is (you may be surprised), how this may present in pregnancy and postnatal and what you can do to support women you support, this course will also briefly look at women on men abuse.

Supporting Trauma in the perinatal period

This course will help you to understand what trauma is and how to be truly trauma informed. Birth trauma training can often be lacking, this aims to be much more.

Whether it’s Birth trauma or childhood trauma or another type of trauma this course can help understand.

Suitable for anyone working with families or with an interest in the subject.

Trauma can come in many forms and, in our experiences, some practices can cause more harm than good. This short course will challenge some beliefs and will give a better understanding of how to best support women and families in the perinatal period. Giving a new birth trauma training workshop encompassing all types of trauma that may impact the perinatal period. We also have a Level 3 perinatal mental health course if you would like to delve deeper.


This is an online course via Zoom. You will receive access to the link after signing up.

Level 3 Award in perinatal mental health

A stand alone course in perinatal mental health. This perinatal mental health training is suitable for anyone working with pregnant and new mothers and their families.
Mental illness is estimated to affect 1 in 4 new mums and other parents. It is a leading cause of death in the perinatal period. Our organisation was set up following our founders own experience of perinatal mental illness in order to provide a more holistic approach to support. This perinatal mental health training is following 18 years experience to help others better support new and expectant parents.

How you will learn

The course will run, currently, as a mixture of live (and recorded) Microsoft teams, pre recorded materials and self study. You will also get a manual and handbook, plus other goodies, in the post. You will have 3 months to complete the course and will gain access to the materials a week before the course begins, with set Teams sessions as shown below. With access to our Microsoft Teams platform to be able to join other students/ professionals and our staff to get the most from your learning.

Level 3 Award in perinatal peer support – Doula training

We can now bring you our Level 3 award in perinatal peer support. For anyone interested in Doula training in the UK or working with families.

There are options to get this training free of cost or at discounts and payment plan options.

Doulas support families antenatally, in birth and postnatal in various ways. Our unique model of support has shown to improve birth outcomes, improve the health and wellbeing of mum, baby and the wider family and also improve chances of breastfeeding.
After this training you will be able to support parents in various ways with our support and mentoring.

This qualification has been accredited as a Customised Qualification and has the benchmark qualification’s learning outcomes and assessment criteria at Level 3 (using a national framework’s level descriptors). Therefore, allows you to demonstrate the difficulty and depth of study. On completion of the Customised Qualification by NCFE, learners will receive a certificate of achievement.

This is our accredited Doula training course in the UK.
The cost for this course is currently at a special offer to anyone in the UK, or beyond, who wishes to set up their own branch of Snowdrop Doula CIC. Level 3 Award in infant feeding peer support

Our level 3 award in infant feeding covers all methods of feeding and is accredited by NCFE. Our training does not purely focus on breastfeeding but looks at an holistic model. We have found that our model of support triples the chances of successful and happy breastfeeding. Plus however a mother feeds her infant she feels fully informed and confident in her decision, improving mental wellbeing.

There are discounted options to this training depending upon what you wish to do with the training. With this training you will be able to become part of our award winning organisation to provide peer support classes and workshops and joining our helpline.

Once signed up you will gain access to a course pack that will be used for self home study, lots of online videos and audios, a class forum and with video call sessions. You will have 3 months to complete this course.

With this training we can support you to help families in their feeding choices through groups, one to one and on our helpline. You will be able to join the helpline part way through the training.

An online antenatal class to help you understand what to expect with a newborn. In person and online antenatal classes can often miss this bit out and parents can feel a little bit shocked when they get home after baby is born. This course can help eliminate such worries.

Learning what to expect with a newborn baby can help you to feel calmer before and after baby is born. Looking after a newborn can be daunting as it’s not something first time parents have ever done before. Everyone finds their own way, this helps to prepare.

Everything you need to know to prepare you for life with a newborn baby.
Topics such as infant feeding, care of a newborn, relationships and mental health, sleep. A mix of videos and audios plus written materials for you to use at your own convenience.

As a CIC we are able to keep our costs affordable. You get all the content you need just as a more affordable cost.

You, your body, your baby – Birth expectations

This is part of our on demand, online antenatal classes that aim to bring you lots of information for you to access in your own time. You can also book a session with our Doulas. We have a live online antenatal class session to talk through birth choices on the last Wednesday each month, you can book this session here.
