A stand alone course in perinatal mental health. This perinatal mental health training is suitable for anyone working with pregnant and new mothers and their families.
Mental illness is estimated to affect 1 in 4 new mums and other parents. It is a leading cause of death in the perinatal period. Our organisation was set up following our founders own experience of perinatal mental illness in order to provide a more holistic approach to support. This perinatal mental health training is following over 20 years experience to help others better support new and expectant parents.

What can I do with the qualification?

This course is great for anyone who works with, or wants to work with parents and families . It gives an understanding of perinatal mental health, how it impacts on a person, their relationships, both short and long term.
With this qualification you could go onto further learning in family support and/or you could set up peer support groups. It may be the course enhances you learning as a professional to feel better equipped when offering your services to parents and their families.

How you will learn

The course runs as a fully online course. With online materials and videos, with the offer of fortnightly 1 to 1 Zoom calls to help you embed the learning. The live calls can be at a time to suit you. You will have 4 months to complete the course and will gain access to the materials immediately.
